Melee Weapons are a type of item used for dealing physical damage at close range and come in a variety of types, including Swords, Axes, Spears, and Staves.

SwordsEdit

Swords are the staple weapon type for melee damage.  Lower tier swords pair decent damage with high durability and relatively low weight.  Higher tier swords are heavy, but deal massive damage.

AxesEdit

Axes are powerhouse melee weapons, dealing massive damage at the cost of accuracy and weight.  They gain a Bonus against walls and chests. More effective than swords against undead.

SpearsEdit

Spears do moderate damage, and weigh a moderate amount, but suffer from low durability. They can attack 2 tiles away, and will damage both squares every time.  

Warning: When breaking into a town be mindful that you don't hit an NPC!

Tip: Their range can be used to kill monsters in a dungeon from the other side of a wall!

StavesEdit

Staves are very light weapons that boost force power effectiveness.  They don't have great attack, so a secondary weapon is usually good to keep around.

Combo StrikesEdit

Melee attacks have the opportunity to combo, dealing extra attacks based on Agility.  

Note: Using skills such as Bash can reduce overall damage if you have a high combo rating because they only hit once.

Combo rates appear to be x 1.0 for Swords, x 1.4 for Spears, x 0.6 for Axes.

Plus Combo rates: x 1.3 Swords, x 1.0 Spears, x 0.6 Axes.
